We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jane Goodall will visit Japan in June 2025!
From Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14, a special three-day event will be held in Tokyo to mark this occasion.

“ Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.”

　Global warming, the decline of biodiversity, increasing inequalities, and the heartbreaking reality of wars and violence. In this moment, young people across the globe find themselves standing still, grappling with a sense of hopelessness for what lies ahead. A 2024 survey conducted by the Nippon Foundation revealed that fewer than half of the youth in Japan feel that their actions can truly change the world. Merely 15% expressed confidence that "the future of my country will improve." Yet, amidst these challenging times, there is a powerful narrative we wish to share. Through "Roots & Shoots," a youth action initiative established by Dr. Jane, we aim to convey the profound message that "hope is in action."

Events & Tickets

This special event will be held over three days, from June 12 to 14, 2025.
In addition to a keynote lecture by Dr. Jane Goodall, the program will feature youth storytelling, workshops, cross-talk sessions, film screening, and more. Some sessions will also be available online. Join us in weaving this moment of hope.
